If you’ve never seen them, they’re 3D, near-photo-realistic animations of scores of animals which will appear magically on your phone screen. You can even take photos of yourself with them and share the results.
You don’t need any special equipment, just a phone that’s capable of Augmented Reality (AR). As you’ll know, AR is where the camera view is overlaid with data from the internet. Pokémon Go is one of the best-known examples.
You need a phone running Android 7 or later, or an iPhone with iOS 11 or more recent, and you’re set.

There’s no foraging through undergrowth for these critters. Just go to the browser on your phone and in the text box, type the name of the animal you want to see and press return (or Search). You don’t need to type Elephant 3D or anything, just the name of the animal in question.
