 I fully agree had Hoover been reelected depression would have ended much sooner ... the depression really didn't end until after world war II and troops came home and joined civilian workforce  Close—“but Wilson did it” is even worse. But to be fair, FDR did have more time to screw things up: 13 years in office compared to 8. The worldnisnt perfect my friend...but it's the best world we have and you blaming the past isnt going to change it!!

"Because FDR did it" is is a good reason to NOT do it...but economics is rarely ever taught these days But it was only because of FDR and his brilliant policies that the depression was over in just 16 short years The Left controls education. That means according to the "history" FDR saved America from the Depression by destroying livestock in a time of hunger, high tariffs inherited from Hoover protected the economy, and then the entire world imploding into war ended poverty. Throw unions in there somewhere, because labor isn't the same thing as invested capital and management apparently somehow.

Destruction and crushing trade equals prosperity apparently. So until we hit bottom and people are willing to reason their way out of this, we are in for some serious ish.
