Excellent article! “If it saves only one life” is one of the most asinine things someone can say. It ranks right up there with “we have to do something”. A nationwide speed limit of 5mph would save tens of thousands of lives each year. Where is the 'one life at any cost' crowd? The problem is that people believe that their lives are in danger and the government is saving their lives by killing freedom, we have a severe cultural problem.

I’m surprised it hasn’t moved to “you’re a killer”. We are going to destroy far more lives in the end if the country goes bankrupt.
