 Younger people don't watch network television. I'm a GenXer and I don't watch network television. Boomers are the only ones regularly watching network television. Well... it’s an Entertainment channel. Those talking heads put on a show daily. Umm... let’s not forget that the big crowd pullers aren’t even Journalists. People just making opinions about events and not held to the same standard as other Journalists.
I compare Fox News' dominance to McDonald's continuing their reign as the nation's #1 restaurant chain, proving once again that nothing is too crappy for many Americans. I read recently that Fox News was the only news source for conservatives, whereas non-conservatives are split among about 6 primary sources. Since old people are most likely to both watch cable television and be conservative, this makes sense.
